Question I have a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Special Edition full time four wheel drive. In the front I have 245/70/16 and the back 245/75/16. Will this cause a problem with my transfer case or transmision ?
25 posts 路 Joined 2010. #1 路 Nov 9, 2010. Can someone please tell me if I can fit 245/70/17 tires on my 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland with a 2 inch bds lift?? I have heard several different opinions: 1) with a V8 the front will sag; 2) the tires will rub; 3) get rusty's offroad 2.5inch lift and it will fit fine.

Maybe for only highway driving but definetly not offroadable 2" BB 245/75/R16, 255/70/R16, 265/70/R16 all work fine (265/70/R16 may have minimal rubbing)

That is not my experience with the Bushwacker flares. To install the Bushwackers, the rear of the front fenders and the front and rear of the rear fender well must be trimmed. The top of the fenders don't get touched therefore do nothing for increasing the height of the wheel arch. The additional clearance is only in front and rear of the tires.
