Citroen Xsara Picasso (2000 - 2010) - yr 2004 - ECU pin corrosion. Hi, Car wouldn't start due to an electrical fault. It turned out that one of the pins in the ECU connector had corroded away because water got into it. Got the car towed to the garage, solution sir; new ECU + new wires + labour, total cost = £1400 HELP!

Every ten minutes when the engine isn't running "eco mode" switches on and shuts of the power in my Xsara MKII. There seems to be no way to deactivate it except by starting the engine or switching off the stereo for a couple of minutes before ten minutes has passed..
My Xsara Picasso 1.6HDi was averaging 52.6mpg before its last service and dropped down to 46.2 almost immediately afterwards. I did then re-set the trip computer, but I've done that before and it still climbed to over 50mpg within a very short time. Now, after about 1,500 miles, I've managed to get it up to 49.6mpg with some very careful driving.
If car was o.k for a while after battery replaced , you need to now get it checked for voltage , especially if not used a lot or for short trips . There could be a fault like the alternator not recharging the battery enough or something draining the battery causing non start.
